TWO JADE BI DISCS
WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY, CIRCA 1100-771 BC
One disc is of plain form and pale celadon tone with an area of calcification to the edge. The other disc is carved with two shallow groove lines to the diameter and is of a mottled dark brown and green tone with some patches of calcification to one side.
The larger, 4 ¾ in. (12 cm.) diam.
