A STUCCO FIGURE OF A TWO-HEADED WINGED DEITY
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The deity is modelled with two heads, each bearing a peaceful expression, wearing a plain diadem with ribbons trailing from the back. The wings, with intricately rendered feathers are emerging to each side of the torso and the waist is tied with a skirt. The front of the figure is applied with gilt, the skirt with green pigment and the hair with blue pigment.
