A 2-page autograph letter, signed, from 26 Charlotte Street, Bedford Square, W.C., January 14, 1880, to Mr. Peckover, concerning the publication of his Birds of Asia: "I yesterday had the pleasure of sending you Pl. 31 of the 'Birds of Asia' and trust it will reach you safely," he states, "this expensive work is now nearly all sold, and will realise a large sum ultimately if completed. I think you will be pleased with the Part now sent since it contains many beautiful things" (creased on folds, some soiling).
