On circular raised silver foot engraved with repeating niche motifs, with rounded body composed of cut mother-of-pearl panels, the rim with thin silver mount engraved with geometric patterns

The Hungarian National Museum holds two almost identical mother-of-pearl bowls, although with cloisonné bronze mounts, which are attributed to 17th century Hungary by Geza Feher (Craftsmanship in Turkish-Ruled Hungary, Corvina, 1975, cat.61, No. App. Jank. 219-220).
