The story of Khizr Khan and Deval Rani tells the tragic romance between the son of 'Ala al-Din Khilji, Sultan of Delhi, and the daughter of the Hindu king Karna of Nahrwala. It was by Amir Khusraw (d. 1325 AD) in the form of a masnavi.
