A rare early 19th-century carved ivory model of the naked Eve,
unsigned, (possibly from Goa), the figure seated on simulated rocks, the right arm held aloft holding an apple, the left arm modestly covering the right breast, the limbs and other regions of the body carved with a number to correspond to a key incised on the plinth-base, also incised Doctor Joshua Adams', Garden of Eden. Examination Performed with the Utmo t descency (?spelling) AT ALL TIME, with brass mounts on lignum vitae base 6in. (15.2cm.) high
