The circular cup raised on lion monopodiae, the sides inscribed in Russian ‘From grateful subordinates to their chief’ within guilloché patterned reserves, the triangular base with neoclassical decoration, inscribed in Russian ‘To His Excellency Alexander Mikhailovich Lunin’ and dated 1814, centring the Lunin family coat-of-arms, with an independent parcel-gilt circular bowl and detachable cover, with a finial shaped as a bundle of straw, marked throughout
