A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE CARVING OF A QILIN
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The recumbent horned beast is carved with its head turned sharply backwards with a book emanating from its mouth onto its hind quarters. The stone is of an even pale tone with some creamy russet inclusions.
