PUNJAB, NORTH INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
Of dome-shape rising to a flattened rounded knop and with a skirt of cusped hanging ornaments below, the sides decorated in repoussé with a band of roundels containing portraits of the ten Sikh Gurus with Guru Gobind Singh in an enlarged roundel at the front, set on a ground of scrolling floral vine and a band of cusped palmette above, the finial and some of the hanging elements now missing
7in. (17.8cm.) diam.
