The vase, of flattened pear shape, is carved on each side of the body with two pairs of bottle-horn dragons confronted on a wide band of leiwen above two pairs of sinuous dragons with backward-turned heads and below a band of interlinked foliate scroll on a leiwen ground. The neck is carved in relief on each side with two chilong flanked by leiwen-filled blades and by the pair of curved lug handles also carved with further leiwen, all below a band of key fret at the rim. The semi-translucent stone has some opaque buff mottling.
