A SMALL DINGYAO CARVED BOWL
NORTHERN SONG-JIN DYNASTY, 11TH-12TH CENTURY
The bowl has deep, rounded sides and is raised on a small, circular foot. The interior is carved with a graceful, leafy stem bearing a large flower below the unglazed rim. The bowl is covered inside and out with a glaze of ivory tone that continues over the foot onto the flat base.
