Oblong 4° (152 x 186mm). Title in woodcut historiated border, woodcut portrait of Sigismund Feyerabend, the dedicatee, 103 cuts by Jost Amman, printer's device on colophon leaf. (Title repaired at bottom margin, title and A2 waterstained at corner, some soiling, particularly to early leaves.) Late 19th-century blind-panelled calf, red morocco spine label, red edges. Provenance: Augustinian Library at Ghent (title inscription) -- A.H. Bright (1912 bookplate).
JOST AMMAN'S CELEBRATED ILLUSTRATIONS OF SCENES FROM LIVY. Feyerabend's name appears with the two others on the printer's device, although it is not in the printed colophon. Adams L 1457; Brunet I, 234; Caillet II, 5615; Hollstein II, pp. 36 and 40.
