Labeled NICOLAUS GAGLIANO FILIUS ALEXANDRI FECIT NEAPE 1752,2, the two piece back of narrow curl descending to the center joint, the ribs similar, the top of medium to fine grain, the varnish of a yellow-brown color, length of the back 13 in. (33.1 cm.), with a Silver-Mounted Violin Bow stamped SILVESTRE & MAUCOTEL, together in a leather covered fitted violin case with blue plush interior marked WE HILL & SONS LONDON ENGLAND (3)
