Both modelled crouching, one offering a basket of fruit, the other conceived to hold an object in each hand, now lacking, mounted on integral naturalistic bases and lappetted cylindrical plinths centred by a winged torch within a foliate wreath flanked by winged classical figures
14.1/4 in. (36 cm.) and 13.1/4 in. (33.5 cm.) high; the bases 6.1/2 in. (16.5 cm.) diameter

Almost certainly acquired by Charles William Vane, 3rd Marquess of Londonderry (1778-1854) and
Frances Anne, Marchioness of Londonderry (1800-65), possibly whilst travelling through Paris in 1819, en route to Vienna.
