Comprising: a pair of oblong boxes with cut corners and hinged covers, on openwork scroll feet; a pair of octagonal powder boxes, one with hinged cover and a pair of tazze, each engraved with coat-of-arms, the boxes marked inside bases and covers, one rectangular box with maker's mark only struck four times, the tazze with maker's mark only, one struck twice
the largest 11 ½ in. (29.3 cm.) long
176 oz. 14 dwt. (5,496 gr.)
The arms are those of Banks impaling Dethick for Sir John Banks, 1st and last Bt. (1627-1699) and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of John Dethick Kt., Lord Mayor of London.
