Of typical form with a single edged watered-steel blade tapering to a fine point, the forte with cusped half-palmettes filled with gold scrolling floral vine, the base of the hilt with similar decoration, the spine of the hilt with a series of cusped cartouches containing floral sprays with traces of gilding, the flat side of the blade with a raised central ridge and a chain of three cusped palmettes and a floral spray, the upper part of the blade with a partly faded gold overlaid signature amal-e kamtarin 'Ali Akbar, minor dent to the tip of the blade
