A Polychrome-Wood Wedding Duck
(20th century)
The small duck carved in columnar fashion with flat, rectangular base, rounded tail and separately carved head inserted by the neck into a hole in the body, the feathers charmingly painted in blue, red, green, yellow and white pigments and the lower body painted red, though much of the pigment has rubbed away; the flat circular end representing the duck's chest feathers is painted red with a spiral of seven yellow dots
