Moss lived between Paris and Cornwall for much of her life. She is perhaps best known for her friendship with Mondrian; she worked in a manner akin to his before the First World War. There has been much debate over whether their influence was reciprocal. Moss settled permanently in Lamorna Cove from 1939, developing her relief and sculptural work alongside her architectural studies. She most likely met Ben Nicholson and Barbara Hepworth in 1943 after reaching out to fellow abstract artists in the community.
