18TH CENTURY
The Tara is seated in lalitasana on a double lotus throne, her hands are in ravimudra and she wears flowing garments, a necklace and an elaborate bejewelled headdress. Her hair is in a high chignon. She is cast with downcast eyes and a serene expression. The base is sealed.
