A CARVED AND PIERCED ZITAN STOOL

The cylindrical stool is carved in relief with foliate scrolls and stylised archaistic decoration. It is further embellished with pierced ruyi-shaped cartouches. A band of raised nodes encircles the rim and the base. The top is inset with a later blue and white inscribed porcelain plaque of a river landscape with a boat.
