The high shouldered vase is decorated to the exterior with a delicately executed pavilion interior scene comprising four boys and a lady at leisure by a table with scholar's objects. The shoulders, neck and base are variously embellished with lotus and foliate scrolls, ruyi heads and geometric bands.
