The silver-inlaid inscription in thuluth script reads al-'izz li-mawlana al-a [sic] al-malik al-'azim (or al-a'zam) al-sultan al-mu'azzam riqab (al-)umam (wa) al-salatin ('Glory to our Lord the Almighty King, the Greatest Sultan, (Sovereign) of the Necks of the People and Sultans')
