CASE: the drum case on fluted column support and surmounted by an urn finial, flanked by a figure of Urania to one side, with globe, books, a laurel wreath and telescope to the other, the plinth with foliage and wave frieze, the base pierced with scrolling foliage DIAL: the white enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic five minutes, signed Lieutaud A PARIS, pierced gilt-brass hands MOVEMENT: twin barrel movement with silk suspension and count wheel strike to bell, with pendulum; winding key
