Of rectangular form with cusped arched top, the slightly round profiled embossed to ressemble a breast, the central field decorated with a large meandering vine with birds, bordered with florals scrolls and calligraphic cartouches, a cusped medallion at top inscribed nasr min Allah wa fath qarib in thuluth script, with hanging loops and fixation bars

This armour plate closely ressembles a piece in the Furusiyya Foundation published in Bashir Mohamed, dir., L'Art des Chevaliers en Pays d'Islam, Paris, 2007, cat.298, p.310. The form and damascened decoration of the two pieces are very close, with a cusped top and a large scrolling vine with birds.
