TWO WHITE JADE OVAL PENDANT PLAQUES

One is carved with a scholar carrying a fly whisk stands opposite a duck, and on the reverse with a lengthy inscription, neng shu dao de yun long feng/ying xie huang ting huan bai e (if one can write flamboyantly, copy the Huangting scripture in exchange for a goose). The other is carved with a scholar with a hoe slung over his shoulder greets another scholar, and on the reverse a lengthy inscription, cai yao dao tian tai/xian yuan qu ci kai/hu ma sui shui chu/shei fei cun xin lai (collect medicinal herbs on Mount Tiantai; cross the land of the immortals. See there flax flowers afloat on water; of whose heartfelt thoughts are they?) below a pair of confronted archaistic birds.
