A HONGMU ADJUSTABLE LAMPSTAND, SHENGJIANGSHI DENGTAI

The frame is comprised of conjoined stylized foliate scroll and two side posts, each flanked by standing openwork spandrels carved as archaistic scroll rising from the shaped feet. The frame is joined by two stretchers. The top stretcher has an opening for the adjustable lamp pole, which is connected to the lower stretcher, supported by pairs of shaped aprons. The lampstand supports a gilt-metal candle holder with two drip pans.
