NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (960-1127)
The shallow dish has slightly curved sides scored as six petals that flare from the flat base to the petal-cut rim, and is covered overall with a glaze of ivory tone. Together with a small qingbai dish, Southern Song dynasty, that has shallow rounded sides and is carved in the slightly convex center with a leafy peony spray, and is covered overall with a transparent glaze of pale aqua color.
