A RARE PAIR OF LARGE CARVED WHITE-GLAZED 'PHOENIX-TAIL' VASES
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each vase is potted with a baluster body and a tall neck rising to a flaring mouth rim. The exterior is carved with peony flowers borne on scrolling vines. Each has a double circle in underglaze blue on the base.
