the case with stepped chamfered top with gilt-metal pineapple finial, ripple moulding to cornice and base (strip missing to one side), fielded brass panels to the front, fishscale sound frets and ring handles with wreath mounts to the sides, the white painted dial (some rubbing) with gilt-metal hands and signed SUTHERLAND DAVIES & CO LIVERPOOL, the twin chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, with pull quarter repeat -- 17¼in.(44cm.) high
