A SMALL BLUE AND WHITE MING-STYLE DISH
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The dish is well potted with rounded sides rising from a short slightly tapering foot. The interior is painted in dark blue and paler shades of cobalt blue with areas simulating 'heaping and piling' with a lotus scroll surrounding a central bloom. The cavetto is deatiled with a continuous composite floral meander surrounded by a classic scroll to the rim, the exterior with a similar floral meander below a keyfret band to the rim.
5 3/8 in. (13.7 cm.) diam.
