ATTRIBUTED TO THE WORKSHOP OF MARTIN ZÜRN, AUSTRIA, FIRST QUARTER 17TH CENTURY

This elegant and distinctive relief closely resembles much of the work of the Zürn family working in South Germany and Austria from the late 16th through the first half of the 17th century. Beginning with Hans Zürn the Elder (1550/60-after 1631), he was followed by four generations of the family who continued the workshop.
