The cartonnier with cavetto cornice above four marbelised paper-lined gilt-tooled leather drawers and two pigeon-holes, with scrolled corner mounts and Bacchic masks to each end, the bureau plat with rounded rectangular top inset with gilt-tooled leather and moulded brass edge, above a shaped frieze with three panelled drawers opposing false drawers, with laurel-crowned female masks to each end, on cabriole legs headed by espagnolette and trailing husk chutes and hoof sabots, the upper edge mount to the cartonnier and the small clasps either side of the kneehole later
The cartonnier: 22¾ in. (58 cm.) high; 33¼ in. (84.5 cm.) wide; 12¾ in. (32.5 cm.) deep;
The bureau plat: 31 in. (78.5 cm.) high; 71¼ in. (181 cm.) wide; 34¾ in. (88 cm.) deep (2)
