With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvery rose dial and pulsometer scale in 1941 and its subsequent sale on 17 July 1942.

Consigned by a descendant of the original owner, the present watch has never been offered in public before. It is furthermore believed to be the only fifth example of a reference 685 in pink gold to appear at auction to date. Reference 685 was introduced to the market in the late 1930s and made in a very small series only.
