Cf. C.W. Hayes, Scepter of Egypt, New York, 1978, vol. II, p. 277, fig. 169; dated to the reign of Amenhotep III, this pottery was called Kulleh-ware. They were designed to hold a particular product, gum resin being one substance analysed.
