A CIZHOU-TYPE 'HARE'S FUR'-GLAZED TEA BOWL
JIN DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH CENTURY
The bowl has deep sides rounding up to the finger-grooved rim and is covered inside and out with a lustrous blackish-brown glaze finely streaked with russet 'hare's fur' markings flowing from the russet band below the rim. The lower body and foot are covered with a brown wash.
5½ in. (14 cm.) diam.
