A JUNYAO BUD-SHAPED JAR
NORTHERN SONG/JIN DYNASTY (960-1234)
The jar has a broad, bulbous body that tapers towards the rim and is covered overall with a crackle-suffused glaze of finely mottled, pale, milky blue color that thins to mushroom on the mouth rim and falls in a thick irregular line onto the unglazed foot which has burnt reddish in the firing.
