A FAMILLE ROSE MOLDED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE AND A SNUFF DISH
BOTTLE, IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, JIAQING FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
Of high-shouldered tapering form, the bottle is crisply molded and pierced with nine Buddhistic lions chasing brocade balls set between narrow ruyi bands encircling the foot and shoulder. The neck is further molded with a key-fret band. The circular snuff dish is painted with flowering branches emerging from rockwork.
