Thomas Touchet-Jesson, 23rd Baron Audley, was a friend of the artist. In 1962, he married Sarah Churchill, the actress and second daughter of Sir Winston Churchill, who was also painted by Rolt. It was his second marriage and her third, but he tragically died suddenly of a heart attack in 1963.
