Each slip-cast as a multi-storied house, the teapot with the British Royal Arms to one side above the central door, a rampant lion and fleur-de-lys to the other, the bird's head spout gripped by a hand and flanked by masks, the tea-caddy with lion finial

The tea-canister is curiously three stories on three sides and only two stories high on the fourth. It is interesting to note that in the 18th century, this was also true of Trentham Hall, Staffordshire. For additional information on 'house' teapots, see the note for lot 306.
