Le manche en ivoire sculpté est orné de scènes de personnages dans des médaillons sur fond de rinceaux fleuris et feuillagés. Le fourreau est décoré de six des Huit Immortels portant leur attribut sur fond de svastika. Il porte une inscription tong zao Taia et est agrémenté d'éléments en laiton en ajouré. La lame de l'épée est en métal ; quelques éléments recollés.
