Property FROM A PRIVATE EUROPEAN COLLECTION
These paintings were acquired by a European couple during their stay in China in the 1980s. Passionate for the fine arts, they made friends with many Chinese artists and started acquiring Chinese paintings from art galleries and at auction. Autumn Lotus and Colourful Lotus were gifts from the artist Huang Yongyu, dedicated to Jin Shan and Luo Jiali, the Chinese names of the couple.
