Released on 5th August 1966, Revolver has been described as an album that 'marked a significant development in The Beatles sound'. The eclectic use of musical styles was representative of the experimental nature of the album which included iconic songs such as Yellow Submarine, Eleanor Rigby and Paperback Writer.
