Each on square gadrooned base, the Corinthian column stem with openwork socket, with detachable gadrooned nozzles, each engraved with a coat-of-arms, each marked under base and on nozzle
11 1/8 in. (8.3 cm.) high
gross weight 33 oz. 16 dwt. (1,052 gr.)
The arms are those of Acland, almost certainly for Sir Thomas Acland, 7th Bt. (1722-1785) who was M.P. for Devon from 1746-1747 and later for Somerset 1767-1768. He married Elizabeth (d.1753), only daughter and heiress of Thomas Dyke of Tetton, co. Somerset. (2)
