A virtually identical design was published in Thomas Johnson's (d.1778) Collection of Designs (1758), pl.47, and subsequently in One Hundred & Fifty New Designs, (1761), pl.52. A similar model was exhibited by Norman Adams Ltd. at the Antique Dealers' Fair, Grosvenor House, 1990.
