Compare with a similar pair of vases with ormulu mounts with crown C marks dated to 1745, in The Wallace Collection, Manchester Square, London. One of the pair is illustrated by Soame Jenyns in, Later Chinese Porcelain, London, 1971, pl. XCVI. There is a smaller example in The Victoria and Albert Museum, Salting Bequest, c429-1910 and another is illustrated by Professor Bo Gyllensvärd in, The Tectus Collection of Chinese Ceramics, 1991, p. 226-227, no. 90.
