CASE: of vase form with cone finial and entwined serpent handles flanked by a standing figure of Cupid with outstretched hand with arrow indicating the time, a Roman helmet, mask and torch at base, the plinth with relief panels, on a stepped conforming base with berried ribbon mounts and engine-turned feet DIAL: the twin revolving chapter discs with enamel plaques and blued-steel arrow hand MOVEMENT: twin barrels with platform cylinder escapement and countwheel strike to bell, the back plate stamped '1581' and 'DUFAUD PARIS'
