A LARGE LONGQUAN CELADON CARVED CHARGER
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The sturdily-potted charger is finely carved in the center with leafy flower sprays encircled by a barbed border below the petal-fluted well, which is carved with six fruit and flower designs, including fruiting branches of lychees, peaches, rose, lingzhi fungus and lotus, all below a thick, everted, barbed rim. The exterior is carved with lotus scroll bearing two blossoms. The charger is covered overall with a glaze of olive-green color.
