The waisted case with foliate mounts and overall brass-inlaid with foliate and acantus decorations, the top surmounted by a putto and a bird, some of the mounts are stamped C-couronné, the repousse gilt-bronze dial inset with white enamel cartouches, the twin-barrel movement with verge escapement, countwheel strike on bell, the backplate signed Gudin a Paris, the wall bracket conformingly decorated; doorkey, winding key and pendulum
