19TH CENTURY, NOW MOUNTED AS A LAMP

The vase's mermaid mounts, with their distinctive interlaced tails, relate to the work of Andrei Voronikhin (1759-1814), the celebrated Russian architect and designer. A pair of related vases from the collection of Stéphane Boudin was sold at Christie's, London, 16 March 2012, lot 190 and another pair was sold from the collection of the Marquis and Marquise de Ravenel, was sold at Christie's, London, 21 November 2007, lot 102.
