A ROMAN MARBLE CINERARY URN FRAGMENT

With an inscribed rectangular panel on the front above the lintel of double-doors, each with two ring pulls, a foliate garland with berries draped across the doors and framing the panel, suspended by ribbons tied to the lower edge of the pediment, a spirally-fluted Corinthian column at the corner, the preserved side with incised lines imitating masonry, the front panel inscribed in Latin, reading: "To the Shades of the Dead (and) of Arria Clamys, freedwoman of Gaius (Arrius)"
